Lewis Myles Kurtz, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Kurtz has been a practicing general surgeon since 1975. He has performed numerous gallbladder, appendix, hernia and breast surgeries. He is known to be a kind, compassionate and gentle man.
Education
Dr. Lewis Myles Kurtz graduated from Columbia University in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy where he received his medical degree (cum laude) in 1972. Dr. Kurtz completed his internship at Queens Hospital Center, Jamaica, NY. and his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park , N.Y. While at Long Island Jewish Dr Kurtz completed a Fellowship in General Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Kurtz is on the attending staff at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, N.Y., North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, N.Y. and Saint Francis Hospital Center, Roslyn, N.Y.
